I had struggled with yo-yo dieting since the age of 12. I remembered reading through the teen magazines on how to lose weight fast with the latest fitness fad. As I entered my 20’s, my career-driven, type-A tendencies took over and my life became completely out of balance. I’d go through fitness bouts seeing success for a few months at a time, only to slip back into old patterns.

And I had no idea why.

After 23-years of hard living and having developed a reliance on food and alcohol to manage my stress, I left my corporate career and became a certified hypnotherapist, health coach and nutritional therapist. I created Fitlandia’s membership platform to provide a holistic approach to creating a permanent, healthy lifestyle. Is One-On-One Coaching For You?

Working privately with me isn’t for everyone. My style is to be very nurturing and empathetic through the process (hey, I’ve been there!), but to also be very direct with my observations about perceived obstacles (I know how to get you unstuck!). I’ll ensure you have a safe, confidential space to explore the deep-rooted causes of unhealthy behaviors, as well as show you the path to creating new ones.

I’ve worked with many people in various stages of their fitness journey and I work best with clients that identify with answering “yes” to the questions below:

  1. I struggle with self-sabotage.
  2. I often put others’ needs before my own (whether at work or home).
  3. I feel overwhelmed about getting started.
  4. I am willing to keep and share a food journal (this is the only way to find out what eating style works best for your body).
  5. I am willing to be completely honest and vulnerable about my current lifestyle and to accept open, direct feedback that can help me.
  6. I often struggle with negative thought patterns, but tend to be a positive person in general.
  7. On a scale of 1 – 10, 10 being the strongest, my desire to change is 8+.
  8. On a scale of 1 – 10, 10 being the highest, my willingness to do whatever it takes to get healthy is 8+.
  9. I am willing to be held accountable for the goals I set each week.
  10. I believe I have the ability to change. I just need the tools, resources and accountability to get started.
